Reminder: Monday Class on Saturday

Summer Session II Students: If you have a class that meets on Mondays, ask your professor if you will be having class this Saturday, July 30.

SATURDAY?  That’s right.  July 30 is a summer “legislative day,” meaning some professors may choose to hold their Monday courses to make up for the class day lost on July 4th.  Legislative Day is optional, so check with your professor to see whether or not you have to be in class over the weekend!

Reminder: Academic Resources

Obviously, the library is a good place to do your research and study, but did you know it also has a computer lab in the lower levels?  Or subject-specific research librarians who can help you find the very best resources and references for your paper?  When you need a break, just escape from the heat of midterms and the summer sun by watching a film in the Avery Fisher Center.

Friday, July 8

  • Last day to add a course online via Albert Student Center.  After this date, if you wish to add a course for the session, you must do so in person with University Programs Advising and have written permission to enroll in the course from the class professor.

Monday, July 11

  • Last day to drop a course and receive a 100% refund of tuition and fees.  After this date, if you drop a course or withdraw from the summer you will get no refund.
  • Last day to drop a course and not receive a final grade of W (withdrawn).  Courses dropped after this date will receive a grade of W on record.
  • Last day to request a course for a pass/fail grade.

Withdrawing from Summer

If you no longer plan to attend any summer courses, please drop all courses and contact us at up.advising@nyu.edu to notify us of your withdrawal.  The deadline to withdraw and receive a refund of tuition and fees is Monday, July 11.
Not attending your classes does not equal withdrawing from NYU.  If you stop attending your class but do not officially withdraw, you will still be charged for your courses.

More information about these dates and other academic dates for summer can be found on the NYU Academic Calendar, the Bursar Refund Calendar, and the Visiting Student Important Dates website.
