We at University Programs would like to thank all Summer in NYC students for reading this blog, and wish you the best of luck with the remainder of your summer!

Don’t forget that the University Programs team is here for you! Feel free to email with any questions you may have as a visiting student alum.

All the best to you!

Final Grades & Transcripts

We hope finals and exams for Summer Session II students are going well this last week of class!  As you come to the end of your courses, here are some reminders:

Final Grades
You can view your final course grades in your Albert Student Center.  It can sometimes take professors up to two weeks after the end of a course to post grades. If you are experiencing extreme delays in receiving your grades, please write to your professor and ask about the status of your grade.

It is best to wait until all your final grades are posted before you request your NYU transcript.  Information on how to request your transcript can be found on the NYU Registrar website. You can always go in person to the Registrar, located at 25 West 4th Street, and pick up a copy of your transcript on the spot. Having one sent directly from NYU to your school can take a couple of weeks to process.
Other Reminders…
NYUCard Return
Visiting students are asked to return their NYU ID cards to the Card Center at 7 Washington Place. If you are living on campus, you can return your Card to the Resource Center of your residential hall upon move-out.  Failure to do so will result in a $25 charge for a new card should you return to NYU in future in any capacity.
Student Survey
You should have received an email last week regarding a survey of your experience as a visiting student on campus this summer. We would very much appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey as we use this information in our constant efforts to improve the program and the NYU Summer in NYC experience. Thank you!

Reminder: There’s More to the City than Washington Square

You may be in some intense summer courses, but we hope all the course work isn’t keeping you from taking advantage of the resources NYU has available to you to get the most out of the Big Apple!

NYU Ticket Central
566 LaGuardia Place
(Skirball Center Box Office, Kimmel Center for University Life)

Discounted tickets to Broadway and off-Broadway shows, baseball games, movies, concerts…you name it, Ticket Central likely has it.  We strongly suggest you sign up for their listserv so you get regular notices when tickets go on sale.  Questions?  See them in person!

Museum Gateway
Your NYUCard serves as a free ticket to many amazing museums in the city such as MoMA, the Frick, and the Whitney.  A full list of free museums is on the website, so get out of the humid, hot weather and get some culture.

The NYU Student Resource Center has a comprehensive list online of many things you can do in and around the city when you find yourself with a free afternoon or weekend.  Get out and explore!
